BSF HCM Syllabus 2026; The Border Security Force has released a detailed BSF HCM Syllabus 2026 for Head Constable and ASI steno posts on its official website. The candidates will be shortlisted for the head constable posts through four stages i.e. Physical Test, Written Examination, Skill tests, and Medical tests. The BSF Examination in Computer Based Test is set to be conducted from 1st September 2026 onwards. BSF HCM Exam Date 2026

The BSF Examination in Computer Based Test is set to be conducted from 1st September 2026 onwards. This important update was released by Border Security Force on 5 June 2026 for the candidates who have qualified the first stage of recruitment including Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The written examination will be conducted for various Non-GD posts in BSF as well as ASI (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial) posts in CAPFs and Assam Rifles.

BSF HCM Selection Process 2026

The BSF HCM Selection Process has several stages: Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination (DME/RME). Candidates have to clear each stage to be recruited as HC and ASI.

BSF HCM Physical Test 2026

The exam pattern is the first and foremost step that candidates must go through before the beginning of preparation for the BSF Head Constable Exam. The detailed exam pattern is presented in this section.

Physical Standard Test

Candidates must check the specifications for the BSF HCM Physical Standard Test, which includes Height and chest (male) measurements. Those who do not meet these requirements will not be called for the written examination.

Physical Efficiency Test

After clearing the Physical Efficiency Test, male candidates are required to run 1.6 km in 6 minutes and 30 seconds, while female candidates must run 800 meters in 4 minutes and 45 seconds.

BSF HCM Exam Pattern 2026

There will be 5 subjects in BSF Head Constable Exam 2026.
The BSF HC (Ministerial) written examination will be a 100 marks objective type test.
There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 1 mark each in the examination.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for unreserved category candidates, and 33% OBC, SC, ST candidates.
