What is the eligibility for DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026?
Educational Qualification
- For Fitter Auto – Candidates must possess the ITI certificate in the specified trade (Automobile/Motor Vehicle Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic) or its equivalent Defence Services Tradesman course approved as such by the Central Government or State Government.
- For Electrician Mate – Candidates must possess the ITI pass certificate in the specified trade (Electrician) or its equivalent Defence Services Tradesman course approved as such by the Central Government or State Government.
- For Labourer – ITI pass certificate in any trade or should have done Defence Services.
Age Limit

How to Apply for DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026?
The application process is offline. Candidates can follow the steps below to apply.
- Download the prescribed Application Format (Appendix ‘A’) and Admit Card format (Appendix ‘B’) from the advertisement.
- Type the application neatly in English on A4-size paper using Arial font, size 12, and print double-sided (back to back).
- Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, category, experience, and other requested information; affix a recent coloured passport-size photograph, self-attested.
- Attach self-attested copies of educational/technical qualification certificates, Date of Birth certificate, caste/EWS certificate (if applicable), e-PPO/Discharge certificate (for Ex-Servicemen, if applicable), and Aadhaar card copy.
- Attach a self-addressed envelope (size 30 cm x 12 cm) affixed with a postal stamp of Rs. 55/-, along with two duly filled copies of the Admit Card (Appendix ‘B’) and the signed Instruction for Examination (Appendix ‘C’).
- In-service candidates must route their application through proper channel, along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Office/Establishment.
- Superscribe the envelope as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN (SEMI SKILLED), TRADE: ______, ESTABLISHMENT CODE: ______”.
