IBPS PO Recruitment 2026; The IBPS PO Exam is conducted every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to select eligible candidates for the post of probationary officers in different public sector banks in India. The IBPS PO exam has been conducted every year since 2011, and in 2026, this is the 16th edition. IBPS CRP PO/MT CRP-XVI is for the selection of candidates for 6715 vacancies across 11 public sector banks. IBPS PO Prelims, Mains, and Interview will be the three stages of the selection process to recruit candidates for probationary officer vacancies.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2026
The eligibility criteria required for the IBPS PO 2026 Exam in terms of educational degree, computer literacy, language proficiency, and age limit have been discussed below-
IBPS PO Educational Qualification (as on 21/07/2026)
Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the IBPS CRP exam are as basic as a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India. Any candidate with an equivalent qualification recognised by the central government is also eligible to apply for this exam.
The candidates must have a valid mark sheet/degree certificate certifying that they are a graduate on the day they register for this exam, and it must indicate the percentage of marks obtained at graduation while registering for the IBPS Bank-PO examination.
Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants
A candidate applying for the IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:
1. Citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire,Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour.
IBPS PO Age Limit (as on 01/07/2026)
Any candidate applying for the IBPS PO examination must be at least 20 years old and at most 30 years old at the time of registration. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1996 and not later than 01.07.2006 (both dates inclusive). In addition to this, there is an age relaxation application to category-wise candidates as per the government rules:

How To Apply For IBPS PO Application Form?
Students willing to apply for the IBPS PO 2026 must fill the application process till 21st July 2026. The application form will be filled in online mode only. Follow the given steps.
- Go to official Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) website, i.e., www.ibps.in
- Look for “IBPS PO apply online” link on the home page.
- Click on “Register new candidate” tab.
- Provide details to complete IBPS PO registration process. Login details will be sent to the registered mobile number OR mail ID.
- Login to registered user section and fill out IBPS PO application form.
- Click on “save and continue” option.
- Upload scanned copy of your respective photograph and signature along with all other documents.
- Proceed to pay the IBPS PO application fee online through a debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or other approved payment methods.
- Once all details are filled, carefully review application form before submitting it.
