Candidates must meet the following educational, experience, and age criteria to apply.
Educational Qualification
- Must possess NTC (ITI) / NAC (Apprenticeship completion) OR Engineering Diploma/Degree in relevant trade/field from a recognized institute (Government or Private with affiliation).
Experience
- Minimum 02 years of experience in the relevant work area in a well-reputed company/organization, supported by an experience certificate from the employer.
- Candidates must submit a brief description of the industry, activities performed, types of machines worked on, and knowledge of programming (where applicable).
- Apprenticeship training of one year or more (for ITI qualified candidates possessing NAC under Schedule-1 of Apprenticeship Rules, 1992) may be considered as one year of work experience.
- School pass-outs (fresher apprentices) with only NAC will have their apprenticeship considered as training only (not experience).
Age Limit (as on last date of application)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age (General): 35 years

Selection Process for Gun Carriage Factory Recruitment 2026
The selection will be based on a 50:50 weightage system:
- 50% Weightage – Marks of Essential Technical Qualification (NTC/NAC/Diploma/Degree as applicable).
- 50% Weightage – Trade Test / Practical Test / Interview.
Important Notes:
- Minimum 40% marks required in each component (Trade Test & Written Test/Interview) to qualify.
- Relaxation of 5% marks (i.e., 35%) for SC/ST candidates only.
- In case of excessive applications, GCF reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on qualification marks, previous experience, and job description.
- Candidates must submit a self-declaration on detailed experience; otherwise, they will not be called for the Practical Test/Interview.
Gun Carriage Factory Skilled Tradesman Salary & Benefits 2026
- Consolidated Monthly Salary: ₹31,840/- (Basic Pay ₹19,900 + 60% DA)
- Annual Increment: 3% on Basic Pay each year, subject to satisfactory performance.
- Leave: 12 days paid leave per year (pro-rated, 1 day per month). Unused leave not carried forward or encashed.
- Working Hours: 8 hours per day, 6 days a week (48 hours per week).
- EPF: Eligible as per act and government guidelines.
- HRA: As per AWEIL policy, if quarter not provided. If quarter allotted, must be vacated as per rules.
- Company Holidays: At par with regular employees.
- Safety Gear: Entitled to safety and protective equipment as per company norms.
- Maternity Benefits: As per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 for female personnel.
- Medical Facilities: Not entitled to Ordnance Factory hospital facilities (emergency may be allowed as per govt. rules).
